I cut my knee last night-stitches?

Around 4am and i just took the bandaid off and it was either still bleeding or just started bleeding again. Its about an inch long and directly on my kneecap and like said, has probably been bleeding for 11-12 hours. Should i go to the doc and c if it needs a stitch or just wait and c if itll clot up???
